The Zip73 collections are designed in ’s-Hertogenbosch by Ilja. The 73 stands for this beautiful Brabant city (073).

ZIP stands for zipper. The brand was founded in 2014, after Ilja's many years of experience in women's trousers.
She wanted to create a collection consisting of fashionable trousers with a good, high fit in beautiful qualities, and that customers could also buy in half sizes (inch sizes).
The first collection was a fact and quickly proved to be such a great success that customers wanted an expansion with, among other things, a nice top / skirt / blazer etc.
No sooner said than done! As a result, Zip73 is now a beautiful brand with much more than just those good trousers in an inch size... tops/dresses/jumpsuits and especially everything that is fun complements the collection.

Tall Sizes

The longwear collection has now been put together with Longlady. Together with Longlady, the sizing for taller women has been determined, and some key items are now also available for tall women.

Handmade

When making beautiful clothes, good craftsmanship is indispensable...
A whole team of skilled people works at Zip73 to make every piece as beautiful an item as possible.
Handmade is also a key aspect here, which is why every Zip73 item is crowned with a small round metal piece featuring a crown. These are attached to each piece by hand.

Quality / Sustainability

100% of our production takes place in Portugal and is produced sustainably.
We work exclusively with high-quality materials from Spain and Italy, keeping supply chains short within Europe. This reduces transport and pollution.
At Zip73, qualities are carefully selected, and in addition to basic qualities, recycled qualities are also used.
In short: quality and sustainability are also paramount.

Last spring, our ECOLINE by ZIP73 was launched. This line consists of a number of stylish models made from a sustainable polyamide quality with the comfort of our trusted 'travel' quality! So-called: ECONYL.
This quality consists of 79% recycled fibers obtained from old fishing nets, tulle and carpet fluff. An initiative of, among others, Healthy Seas with the mission: Cleaning up our waters from pollution.
Healthy Seas has a special educational program for schoolchildren and works with 170 volunteer divers and 620 fishermen. In 2019, they collected almost 58,000 kilos of old fishing nets. These used materials are combined to form a polyamide quality with a number of great properties such as UV protection of SPF50! This means: Does not sweat, does not discolour, and is also quick-drying and does not pill. And it is a bi-stretch quality, making it extra comfortable. Each garment is provided with a special Econyl® license hangtag, and the plastic packaging is, of course, also ecological.

Zip73 has its own signature and can therefore remain innovative. Within the collections, we are always working on innovation by not losing sight of what Zip73 stands for: trendy with a sporty twist. Innovativeness and timelessness, strangely enough, go hand in hand. Innovativeness through mix and match, and timelessness through the durability of each product.
