Sold out

I often receive questions from customers when an item or a size is completely sold out.

Will it be restocked?
Unfortunately not, a sold-out item or size will not be restocked.

I design the Longlady label myself, and I purchase everything related to it, such as fabrics, haberdashery, etc. After approval of the prototype I have fitted, everything is sent to the studio and produced. An estimate is made of the quantities that will be sold, but the amount of fabric needed for the items must also be taken into account. Everything produced arrives at Longlady in the warehouse, and there is no other stock of it anywhere else. So when it's gone, it's gone. We cannot have a single size re-made.

We also have to deal with color differences. When a trouser suit is made, it must be done from one roll of fabric. This is because, just like with wallpaper, you have to deal with color differences, as each dye lot can turn out differently. So we make the blazer and matching trousers from one roll of fabric. Now we could use two rolls, but then the quantities would be too high, which we would most likely not sell because longwear is a niche product.

Clothing is also purchased, such as all jeans and the brands Aime, Only-M, and more. An order must be placed 9 months in advance for these. Only that which is ordered is produced, and even those suppliers do not keep anything in stock.

Unfortunately, in places like the World Fashion Center or other purchasing centers, there is no brand that sells or stocks longwear. So nothing can be purchased there for tall women.

The following also plays an important role: when new items arrive, many ladies hesitate and order multiple sizes of that item. Sizes are always returned, and it can take up to 21 days for these sizes to be received back. An order is in transit for a few days, and some customers only return something after 14 days.
That's really a problem for me but also for my customers. My advice is to consult the size chart to determine your size and not to order multiple sizes, as this also causes items to quickly show as sold out but become available again weeks later.

So keep an eye on the website, because your size may become available again!

I am working on scheduling more production moments so that it is not limited to only 2-4 deliveries per year and I can regularly offer something new.
